The Eleventh Bowen Mountain Community Arts Festival will bring many visitors to picturesque Bowen Mountain this weekend. Talented and respected local artists and craftspeople will exhibit their works at the exhibition.  All works are offered for sale. Last year we introduced the concept of Special Guest Artist, and were privileged to have highly acclaimed Australian Pastel Artist Greg Hansell fill that role.   This year’s Special Guest will be well-known local artist, Bert Moriarty. Local school children will show off their skills by entering in the very popular  junior competition in various age categories.   Visitors can cast their votes for the children’s art Peoples Choice Award. The venue, Bowen Mountain Park, is the ideal setting for the event.   Visitors will experience the magnificent mature trees, picnic lawns, and panoramic views to the city and central coast.  The organizers are offering a sausage sizzle between midday and 2.00pm each day.  Soft drinks will be on sale and free tea and coffee will be available.  Children are catered for by the modern children’s playground. Visitors’ children will be encouraged to paint a special picture for their mums for Mothers Day.
