Hawkesbury Camping

For those who enjoy being ‘at one’ with the outdoors, our National Parks and Council run reserves are just what happy campers are looking for. You’ll love some of our secret spots, where you can unwind and take in the freshness and serenity of our rivers and streams together with the natural beauty of the Aussie bush.

The locations of our camping spots can be found on our local maps as well as in the Guide to NSW National Parks book and National Parks brochures on individual National Parks within the Hawkesbury. These can be obtained from our Vistor's Information Centre at Clarendon (opposite the RAAF base).
All camping spots in the National Parks need to be booked through the National Parks and Wildlife Service Richmond Office, on 4588-2400 or 4588-5247 weekdays and 4739 2950 weekends, public and school holidays.

The Upper Colo Reserve camping area is a Council run camping area and needs to be booked through Hawkesbury City Council via this link Camping at Upper Colo Reserve.

A-Vina Van Village  -  Sydney Getaway Holiday Park

A-vina Van Village offers a range of accommodation, including a variety of cabins and bungalows. Powered and Un-powered sites available for campers and caravaners. Individuals and groups catered for. Close to public transport.

Bielany is a 40 acre semi wilderness recreational, picnic and camping ground and is located on the banks of the picturesque Colo River aproxiamately 80 km orth west of Sydney.
Bielany is opened to picnickers and campers throughout the year and is also available for group bookings.

Hawkesbury Riverside Tourist Park offers a range of
accommodation to suit all budgets, including powered and

mill creek camping area

Off Wiseman's Ferry Road (Between Wiseman's Ferry and Gunderman)
Mill Creek camping area is easily accessible by car. Autumn, winter and spring are the most pleasant seasons. During the summer the surrounding sandstone escarpments retain and reflect heat into the valleys - including the Mill Creek picnic area. Bookings essential.

Upper colo reserve

Upper Colo Reserve is located on the Colo River at Upper Colo.
Reserve is quite isolated but easily accessible by private vehicle and is popular due to its natural beauty, peaceful isolation and low cost. It has basic camping facilities including toilets and cold showers. Bring your own drinking water.
