Spring into Colour

Starting mid September, visitors will be greeted by the vibrant colour of spring flowers at the Garden entry. The mass plantings will provide a spectacular display to whet the appetite for the 70 acres of spring delights inside the garden.

Greg Hansell : Survey

Long-time Hawkesbury resident, Greg Hansell, was born in Goulburn and trained at the St George Technical College between 1976-1980. He began painting full-time in 1980 in the traditionalist or realist school of Australian painting. His work is executed in earth pastels - handmade from rocks and clay without commercial pigments, binders or additives. He has taught pastel painting and conducted workshops for the last ten years at (inter ali) the Royal Art Society , of which he is a fellow. Greg's works are represented in the Prime Minister's Collection, Mosman Regional Art Gallery, New England Regional Art Museum and the Jeffery Smart Collection. He has been a finalist many times in the Archibald and Wynne prizes and Salon de Rufusès and was awarded a Centenary of Federation medal for services to community arts and Windsor Library.

There is no half way rest stop in this event... the Bridge is the Everest or Water Ski Racing - a gruelling 112 kilometre test for competitor and machine!

This scarf exchange has been happening since 1996, and each year is hosted by a different spinning group in Australia.
Kurrajong Handspun Crafts Inc. will this year host the exhibition with the theme `Sunset over the Blue Mountains'. Contributions are coming in from all over Australia, some from NZ,UK and the USA.
Fashion designer, Linda Jackson will officially open the exhibition at  2pm on Saturday 21st November.
