Plants with Bite - Carnivorous Plant Fair
Delve into the sticky world of meat-eating plants! Over many thousands of years, these incredible plants have evolved ways to trap and digest insects and other animals when they can't get enough nutrients from their environment. See if you can spot the trapping mechanisms on the carnivorous plants in our spectacular display. But don't get too close - these are plants with bite! Includes plant sales, information sessions and documentary screenings.
11 am - 12 noon - The Australasian Carnivorous Plant Society will present talks exploring the different types of carnivorous plants and their trapping mechanisms, along with cultivation and propagation tips.
1 pm daily in the Wollemi Room - Documentary Screenings - Daily during the Fair
Back to back screenings of the Exploration of Mount Anipahan and Mount Kiamo and Plants Behaving Badly (approximate running time 60 minutes total).

Join Blue Mountains artist James Blackwell as he reestablishes a connection with nature as an antidote to the barrage of stimulation taken host in our ever-evolving technological world. Using
the Blue Mountains as his anchor, James embodies the repetition and symmetry of the landscape using the backdrop of the reliability and inevitability of the seasons as his inspiration for this exhibition.
